Lp(a) Global Summit

About the summit

The Lp(a) Global Summit 2025 was an exclusive, high-level event dedicated to shaping the future of cardiovascular health by focusing on Lipoprotein(a) [Lp(a)]. Hosted in Brussels on the occasion of Lp(a) Awareness Day, this summit brought together the world’s leading experts, policymakers, and patient advocates to advance global policy discussions, scientific breakthroughs, and healthcare strategies.

The event culminated in the release of the Brussels International Declaration on Lp(a), a policy-driving document that will influence cardiovascular health initiatives at the European and international levels.

This first-ever global summit was a milestone initiative of the Lp(a) International Taskforce, convened by FH Europe Foundation and chaired by Prof. Florian Kronenberg.

We are honoured to announce that the First Global Lp(a) Summit was held under the patronage of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union. This esteemed endorsement underscores the significance of addressing elevated Lipoprotein(a) [Lp(a)] in global cardiovascular health initiatives.
