The EAS aims to promote education and training in the prevention and care of atherosclerosis and its clinical manifestations, and equally in basic science, in the atherosclerosis field. The Society’s runs both live educational activities, including Advanced Courses and Congress, and hosts online self-teaching via its educational platform, EAS Academy. Some of these educational activities, including the annual congress, have gone through the accreditation process and are granted Continuing Medical Education credits (CME) by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME), an institution of the UEMS.
