Publications

Scientific leadership through our Publication programme

Today, and indeed, ever since the Society was founded, we count among our members many of the leading researchers and clinicians in the atherosclerosis field. Contributing their insights and expertise to the Society’s publishing activities means that as a Society we are able to promote and highlight research in our area.

Guidelines

EAS publishes Guidelines together with the European Society of Cardiology and other European Societies; these advise clinicians how to manage patients with dyslipidaemias.

Consensus Position Papers

Our Society also brings together experts in Consensus Position Panels, whose reviews of emerging research topics in the field of atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease are published as Consensus position statements

Journals

The Society’s Journal, Atherosclerosis is an internationally respected publication that brings together papers concerned with research and investigation on atherosclerosis, its complications, and related diseases.

Atherosclerosis Plus is an open access journal publishing both original research and review papers that address the key aspects of atherosclerosis

Handbooks

The Handbook of Experimental Pharmacology (HEP) volume “Prevention and treatment of atherosclerosis” provides critical and comprehensive discussions of the most significant areas of pharmacological research.

For healthcare practitioners everywhere, EAS have published a selection of case-treatments that show the recommendations of the Guidelines as used in practice, step by step – a Clinician’s Handbook, “Dyslipidaemia and Atherosclerosis Prevention, Diagnosis and Treatment: A case-oriented approach to understanding the role of lipids and lipoproteins in atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease, and recommendations for diagnosis and treatment”.

Commentary

EAS also publishes regular Featured commentaries, highlighting topical issues relevant to Society members.
