Young Investigator Awards for outstanding publication

The annual EAS Young Investigator Awards for outstanding publications, recognize distinction that contributes to the advancement of knowledge in the field of atherosclerosis or atherosclerosis and metabolic disturbances.

Two recipients (one in basic science and one in clinical research) will each receive a prize of €2000. The award ceremony will take place during the Opening Ceremony of the EAS Congress.

The winners will also be invited to present their research during the Congress on the EAS Stage.

Nomination Procedure


Article eligibility

  • The nominated article should have been published January 01 – December 31.
  • The article should be in English.
  • The nominated article should be an original research article.

Nominee eligibility

  • The Nominee must be the first author of the nominated paper.
  • Only one nominee is allowed per paper.
  • The Nominee must be 40 years or younger on December 31, the year of publication (ID evidence compulsory with nomination).
  • EAS membership not required for the Nominee.

Nomination requirements

  • Nominations must be submitted by an active *EAS Individual member or EAS Student member (i.e. who has paid their annual membership subscription for the year of publication).
  • Self-nominations are allowed.
  • The nomination must be submitted using the official nomination form (accessible to EAS Individual members & EAS Student members only)*.

Review and selection process

  • Nominations will be reviewed by the Society’s Award Committee.
  • The Society’s Executive Committee will make the final selection of Award recipients.

Announcement

  • Results will be announced by the end of March.
