Elections

The EAS Executive Committee is the elected governing body responsible for the running of the Society. Its members determine the scientific direction of the Society, and are responsible for strategic planning of EAS activities and the Society’s financial management.

Upcoming Executive Committee Elections (2027)


As part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining a dynamic and representative leadership, several key positions in the EAS Executive Committee will be up for election in 2027. This is an important opportunity for our members to influence the future direction of EAS and contribute to advancing cardiovascular science and care.

Positions open for election (2027):

  • President-Elect (during 2028, President 2029-2032)
  • Ordinary Member responsible for Education (2028–2031)

Key election dates:

  • Call for nominations: Open in early 2027.
  • Election voting period: June 2027.
  • Announcement of results: Autumn 2027.
  • New terms begin: January 2028.
