Remit
The Paediatric Lipid Working Group (WG), reporting to the EAS Executive Committee, aims to advance scientific knowledge, clinical care, and awareness of inherited paediatric lipid disorders. It:
- Organises the annual Paediatric FH workshop
- Supports sessions on paediatric dyslipidaemias during the EAS congress
- Promotes early detection and awareness
- Encourages cross-regional collaboration
- Advises the EAS Executive Committee on paediatric FH diagnosis and management
Appointment of Working Group Members
Members are selected based on scientific or clinical expertise in paediatric lipidology. The WG reviews nominations and applications, promoting a balanced geographic and professional membership. Initial appointments were made by the existing group with EAS approval. Future members are nominated internally, with final approval from the WG and EAS Executive Committee. Terms last three years, with the possibility of renewal.
