Stefano Romeo is Professor in Molecular and Clinical Medicine at the Sahlgrenska Academy in the Institute of Medicine at Gothenburg University and Senior Consultant in Endocrinology and Metabolism at the Department of Cardiology at Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Gothenburg. Dr Romeo’s main research focus is the role of genetic variants in modulating metabolic liver disease and serum lipid levels. His research field ranges from genetic association studies in large cohorts to understanding molecular mechanisms underlying the genetic associations. His main clinical commitment is to drive the Lipid Clinic at Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Gothenburg.
