These on-demand, online lectures are an integral part of European Atherosclerosis Society’s Lipoprotein(a) Workshop (DEU) Hybrid Programme.
This workshop aims to provide a solid understanding of lipoprotein(a) [Lp(a)], including its molecular structure and its role in the development of atherosclerosis. It covers the underlying pathophysiology and epidemiology of Lp(a), as well as its clinical guidelines and management.
Course structure
This programme comprises two presentations. Each presentation takes approximately 60 minutes.

By invitation only, these lectures, together with the live workshop, are intended for healthcare professionals based at the four participating DEU sites in the Novartis Lp(a)CCELERATE Implementation Strategies project. Attendees will:
- further understand the structure of lipoprotein(a) and its role in the development of atherosclerosis.
- further understand how to perform a CVD risk evaluation
- gain further knowledge on the current ESC/EAS published guidelines on the clinical management lipoprotein(a).
- engage in interactive discussions on the barriers of lipoprotein(a) testing in routine clinical practice and how to overcome these.
