Francisco Blanco-Vaca, M.D., Ph.D., is currently Director of Clinical Biochemistry at Sant Pau Hospital and Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He has publihed 177 papers and his main line of work, both in clinical laboratory assistance and in research, is related to lipid metabolism, dyslipemia and cardiovascular risk factors. This includes the biochemical and genetic diagnosis of rare inherited disorders of lipoprotein metabolism.
