In Memoriam – Prof Moses Elisaf

We share with regret the news of the passing of Professor Moses Elisaf, former President of the Hellenic Atherosclerosis Society.

His scientific contribution to the study of atherosclerosis, lipid metabolism and obesity is well-recognised and truly appreciated by the members of the European Atherosclerosis Society, and our international community.

His presence will be much missed, but we take comfort in the knowledge that his legacy will continue – in the positive impact his of research on the lives of patients, in the continued development of the field by his former students and doctors who follow his teaching example to this day, and in the life and activities of the Hellenic Atherosclerosis Society, where he will be long-remembered as a founding member.

We send our sincere sympathy to the members of the Hellenic Atherosclerosis Society on the loss of their colleague, friend and mentor, and our condolences to Prof Elisaf’s family.
