Remit of the Communication Committee
The Communication Committee of the European Atherosclerosis Society (EAS) is tasked with enhancing the society’s communication strategy and outreach efforts. The committee oversees various communication channels, including the society’s website, social media platforms, newsletters, and other relevant mediums.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy to promote the mission and activities of the EAS, including the promotion of the EAS Congress.
- Oversee the EAS’s official website, ensuring that it remains up-to-date, user-friendly, and informative for members and the public.
- Oversee the society’s presence on social media platforms, including but not limited to Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.
- Collaborate with other committees and working groups within the society to ensure cohesive messaging and alignment with the overall goals of the EAS.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of communication initiatives, including website traffic, social media engagement, and newsletter metrics, and use data-driven insights to optimize future strategies.
Composition
The Communication Committee consists of one chair and one co-chair, appointed by the EAS Executive Committee for a term of four years.
