Anitschkow Jury

The Anitschkow Prize Jury is responsible for selecting the recipient of the prestigious Anitschkow Prize. The Jury’s primary task is to carefully evaluate all nominations against the established criteria, ensuring a fair, rigorous, and transparent selection process.

The remit of the Jury includes the following key responsibilities:

Evaluation of nominations
Review each candidate’s nomination, considering their contributions to the field of atherosclerosis and related metabolic disorders, based on scientific impact, innovation, and relevance to clinical practice.

Adherence to criteria
Ensure that the selection process aligns strictly with the Society’s specified criteria for the Anitschkow Prize. This includes assessing candidates’ work on its originality, breadth, and lasting influence in the field.

Independent and objective review
Conduct all evaluations objectively and independently, free from conflicts of interest, maintaining the integrity of the selection process.

Selection of the awardee:
After thorough evaluation, identify and recommend the most deserving candidate, whose work reflects the highest standards of scientific excellence and contribution.

The Jury’s deliberations are confidential, and members are expected to uphold the Society’s commitment to recognizing outstanding scientific achievements in the study of atherosclerosis. The chosen candidate is recommended to the Executive Committee for final endorsement and announcement.
