Partnerships
Educational activities for EAS members are central to EAS’ mission – to exchange knowledge on the natural history, causes, treatment and prevention of atherosclerosis-related disease.
We also believe that it is important to work together with members of related learned and professional societies – to share and exchange knowledge with a wider audience. EAS collaborates with other European and International organizations, in activities including joint sessions at partner society congresses, and collaborative scientific papers.
EAS works together with other professional and scientific societies and patient representative groups where we have common aims – for progress of research in the field and to improve management of cardiovascular disease and lipid disorders.
With scientifically related European and international organisations, we look for opportunities to collaborate and share expertise, for example, co-organising joint sessions at Congress, or co-authoring publications. Our collaborations include joint initiatives with the European Society of Cardiology (ESC), the International Atherosclerosis Society (IAS), the European Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (EFLM), and the European Society of Vascular Medicine (ESVM).
EAS is also member of Biomedical Alliance in Europe (Biomed Alliance), a non-profit organisation representing healthcare professionals and researchers in the biomedical field at the European level, the European Alliance for Cardiovascular Health (EACH), and the World Heart Federation (WHF).
EAS has a partnership with FH Europe Foundation, patient organisation.
EAS has formed a media partnership with touchCARDIO.
